These words warm my heart! To keep ones liberty one must enter into a never ending fight to protect those very liberties. John Philpot Curran said in his speech upon the Right of Election in 1790, "It is the common fate of the indolent to see their rights become a prey to the active. The condition upon which God hath given liberty to man is eternal vigilance; which condition if he break, servitude is at once the consequence of his crime and the punishment of his guilt".

As people of a free nation we have a duty and responsibility to do something! We can’t sit idle and expect someone to fix it. One might think," I don’t know where to start, I don’t know what direction to go". Can you talk to your neighbor, can you study the constitution, can you read the federalist papers? Learn and teach!!! Gain a following and bring them before your local government. Remind the elected officials that they swore by oath or affirmation that they would uphold the constitution of the United States of America and protect it against all enemies foreign and domestic. Promise the officials that you will make it your life’s mission to get them out of office if they do not represent the Constitution and our Bill of Rights .

The Constitution is for both sides of the isle and the rights where given by God and revealed by man. Both sides need to understand the if we separate we will loose all our rights. The union of the states is what created the government of the union or in other words the Federal government. Don't forget that each state still has it sovereignty and the true power lies within the states. Building strong local governments will build strong state governments. Thomas Jefferson wrote," We in America do not have government by the majority...We have government by the majority who participate... All tyranny needs to gain a foothold is for people of good conscience to remain silent.

Please open you mouth and break the silence. I believe it is time for the true American's to rise up and let their voices be heard. Give me liberty or give me death! Vigilance to the end my American Brother’s and Sister’s!
William Hendersonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14601292767194622673noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6372761523423385780.post-71099212210883181282020-01-22T19:32:00.001-08:002020-01-22T19:32:28.925-08:00The Fortress

<span style="background: white; color: #1a1a1a; font-family: "Arial",sans-serif; font-size: 14.0pt;">A fortress is a place of exceptional security or stronghold. Imagine a fortress with thick rock
walls, weapons to guard the entrance, a large one foot thick solid wood door
with fortified iron hinges and multiple huge dead bolts to lock access trough
that door. <span style="color: black; font-family: "Arial",sans-serif; font-size: 14.0pt;">

<span style="background: white; color: #1a1a1a; font-family: "Arial",sans-serif; font-size: 14.0pt;">
During times of distress a fortress is on high alert and its access points are
bolted tight with all soldiers at their post ready for this
incoming threat. It makes perfect sense that a fortress would need to be
built considering the tyrannical leaders this world has seen.<span style="color: black; font-family: "Arial",sans-serif; font-size: 14.0pt;">

<span style="background: white; color: #1a1a1a; font-family: "Arial",sans-serif; font-size: 14.0pt;">In my experience I have found that the majority of people
have built personal fortresses around their hearts. Thick walls, Dead bolts, fortified hinges and weapons of war. The
human spirits are wondering around in their fortresses trying to find someone to share the space of understanding.

<span style="background: white; color: #1a1a1a; font-family: "Arial",sans-serif; font-size: 14.0pt;">

<span style="background: white; color: #1a1a1a; font-family: "Arial",sans-serif; font-size: 14.0pt;">The BIG question. Is there anyone in this world that cares enough about me that will spend some time to understand me? Did
you know that even the closest people in your life are hold back about 60% of
their cooperation because they don't feel understood? If the people we love
are holding back imagine the people we work with and the ones that pass us by each day. <span style="color: black; font-family: "Arial",sans-serif; font-size: 14.0pt;">

<span style="background: white; color: #1a1a1a; font-family: "Arial",sans-serif; font-size: 14.0pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman";">Og
Mandino said that love can melt the hardest heart like the suns rays that
softens the coldest clay. I will quote Tina Turner and say what's love got to
do with it? Well if you are a follower of Christ remember the woman that was
caught up in adultery that was about to get stoned to death.(A true act of love)! If you
are a follower of Buddha's teaching remember this, "<span style="background: #FBFBFB; color: #2c2a29; font-family: "Arial",sans-serif; font-size: 14.0pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman";">Just as a mother would

Steven Covey said that understanding to the soul is what air is to the body. So if you want cooperation from people then follow the principle being taught. listen and you will find open doors. Next time you hear someone say "boy I am tired", that is the sound of an open door. Instead of thinking how you feel ask a question like, "why are you so tired'? You will notice that they are surprised that you asked. Could you imagine the internal dialog going on in that persons's head? I bet alarms are going off and they are thinking what the heck, this person actually cares enough to ask why to my comment.

<span style="background: white; color: #1a1a1a; font-family: "Arial",sans-serif; font-size: 14.0pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman";">It is sad that people are wondering around looking for someone that understands them or care to truly listen to them without thinking how to respond. Most people are mired in this prison and don't realize that the keys are within a question away. Seek to ask questions with love in your heart and be astonish as to how people will show up in your life ready to cooperate.

There are millions of fortresses sending out signals like the radio operator in a one person is left on the earth SCI-FY. Is there a receiver out there that is powered up ready to hear what is being broadcast-ed? Seek to hear the doors and join the 1% of the people that experience the highest levels of relationships and cooperation.

While talking to a coworker I realized great things come from listening. The 7 Habits of highly effective people has a habit that states "seek first to understand then be understood". Being open to listen and learn, the following questions came up.

1. What do we have to do to become a world class customer service Organization?
2. What is your corporate objective in regards to customer service?
3. Can you honestly say that if you were to ask your work team members they know what the corporate objective is?
4. What is leaderships roll when it comes to the objective?

A world class team is focuses on a clear Objective not personal recognition. All world class teams have world class leadership. How can you tell if a leadership is world class? This is a very easy question to answer. Now in all Caps for emphasis " A WORLD CLASS TEAM ALWAYS FOCUSES ON THE CLEAR OBJECTIVE NOT PERSONAL RECOGNITION"! This goes for the team as well as the team leaders. This was revealed to me at young age but I did not have the wisdom truly understand it. Christ thought his follower in simplistic but eloquent ways, which in itself is a principle. Principles govern everything regardless if we choose to believe it or not.

The by-product of action taken is recognition. Recognition is defined as The acknowledgement of achievement, service or merit. Service, achievement and merit are things that come from action. So what action needs to be taken to achieve the objective? It is better to focus on the work and let the byproduct come when it comes.

At times it seams insurmountable to get a team pulling in the same direction. My question to any leadership team is, are you clearly defining the direction for your team. In the very word leadership is the word lead! Have you ever noticed that at the end of a race there is always a clearly defined finish line? It is actually easy to lead a team if the leaders are crystal clear as to where the organization is going. Clearly defined guild lines are the road map to a world class organization. A very large ship/organization can be benefited by a small helm in the time of a storm by keeping the ship/organization work ways against the wind and the waves.

Every interaction with the team should be accompanied with an overview of the objective? This principle is defined in the 7 Habits of highly effective people as beginning with the end in mind. Keeping the end in mind at the fore front of the organization will keep the team running in the same direction at all times. Remember if the littlest person in the organization is not clear about what the objective is, then the definition is not clear enough.

World class and simple go hand and hand and world class loves clearly defined road maps! Keep it simple and clear and the objective will be realized.
I realized the other day that I used to enjoy writing in it. So here I am again writing in the blog.

For the past 5 years, I have been traveling the nation for work. I have seen a ton of great things from the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic Ocean and everything in between. Below is a picture of the places I have been in the last five years and believe me I did not mark them all.

Ok, now that I have shown off a little I want to get to the going in cold point of this blog. Every place I have gone on this map I have faced the same fears and the same concerns. The night before each customer meeting, I would stress about what issue the customer was going to hit me with and how I would articulate myself as to how we are going to fix the issue brought to my attention. Catastrophizing over and over and over again to exhaustion. The majority of the meetings I would go into with about 3 to 4 hours of sleep because I was tossing and turning all night mowing over all the scenarios.

Then I got a new Team Leader that showed me a few things that changed my work life forever. When I first met this Team leader we went to one of my customer's facilities. Before we got out of the rental car he stopped me and said: "before you exit this car sit for a minute and watch the employee's entering into this office". After about 3 minutes of watching the employees enter the building, he asked me: "what do you see"? I told him that it seems like no one is happy. He said correct but there is a cause to the unhappiness. He said look at the manager in the suit notice, pay attention as to how he is fixing his hair a making sure his suit cote is on just perfect? That is what I call an empty suit! He proceeded to tell me" if become an empty suit I will fire you". He also said " I can tell you a worried and you need to stop worrying and practice going into your customers cold".

1. Worry about your team, not the way you look to the leadership team!

This is the symptom and cause scenario. Looking good to your leadership is a symptom of being a good leader that has a great team. So fix the cause and the symptom will come. Focus on building a great team and leadership will see you. Dr's make this mistake all the time. They treat symptoms, not causes.

2. GO IN COLD!!!!

Save your mental energy for the interaction with the customer. You will never be able to see the future and know exactly how the meeting will go. So prepare by making sure you know the detail of where the customer is but don't anticipate how the meeting will go. Going in cold gives you the ability to have a clear mind for the interaction that is ahead.

Habit 5 of 7 habits of highly effective people is Seek First to Understand Then Be Understood. Steven R. Covey Said that understanding to the soul is what air is to the body. So go in cold and let the customer talk, let them be understood. Once you understand them you can build with them a clear objective to move forward on.

In summary:

Don't be an empty suit!

Og Mandino said love is my weapon, and muscle can split a shield and even destroy life but only the unseen power of love can soften the hardest heart like the sun's ray can soften the coldest clay! Worry not how you look, worry about the team you have stewardship over and how they look instead. Seek to understand your team their strengths and weaknesses and give them the tools to succeed. When they look good you look good!

Go in cold!

Imagine for a second that all the air in the room you are in right now had all the air sucked out of it. Imagine what you would do without air. Would you worry about your family? NO! Would you worry about what is for dinner tonight? NO! The only thing that would be important is the ability to breathe. Understanding to the soul is like air to the body. So if that is the case go into all human interaction COLD and seek to understand.

Experiment to Try:

Easy drop next time you are somewhere that you can overhear a conversation. Ask yourself are they really listening to each other? You will find that very seldom will you find a listener.

I need to work on this for sure!!!!!

Does it seem that you can never get caught up or get some money saved? How does this make you feel? Have you spent a lot of time thinking about how tight things are or how you will make ends meet this month? There are a lot of people in this situation right now and I really believe there is a way out. I was reading in a book this morning and I came to a really cool realization.

If I am so worried about money all the time it will produce nothing. It is so easy to get carried away in the worry mentality when there is not enough. I remember God saying don't you know that I know you need these things? God is aware of our needs but are we aware of what God needs us to do? Seek not for riches but for wisdom, and behold , the mysteries of God will be unfolded unto you. So can we seek wisdom with our minds clouded with all kinds of worries? I believe that we can not as worry forts us at every turn. Show me how to find wisdom? That is the best question to ask God. For people are asking for it now more than ever. Have you ever heard yourself say i am so sick of struggling? Or I wish I could just have a better life. If that is not a cry for wisdom than what is it?

Let us think for minutes about where money comes from. The last I looked it come from the Reserves to the banks and from the banks to the companies and from the companies to the wallets of the people. So where is the majority of the money? It is in the hands of the people. Not saying that it stays there all the time for most, but the people have control of the money. Some have more control and some have less control.

So how do I get to control more money? Let us go back a little. Seek wisdom and you shall receive riches. Right now more then ever people want wisdom but they know not where to find it. I am not talking about wisdom we find at school but the kind of wisdom that only come through inspiration and experience. Kind of sounds like the majority of the people are stuck in the worry mind set. And believe me it takes one to know one.

How can I serve the people is the question I will ask myself. God please send me people I can serve and I promise when they come I will serve them. I will seek wisdom and knowledge and I will be ready to serve the people. The more people I serve the more people I come in contact with that have control over a small part of the money. Money is a byproduct and it comes from serving others. Focus on the people and their needs. Find away to teach them how to break free from the worry mentality and money will come into your life. With that money that comes into your life you can build something larger that will reach more people. It is a cycle.

God does not want his people to be broke and worried all the time. God wants them to experience joy. Men are that they might have joy. MIGHT is the key word so some action is required.. And Christ showed us the way. He spent his entire life in ACTION through servicing others and in the pursuit of wisdom. And his joy was made full. We can seek this joy through the service of others and we can experience wealth by teaching other how to break free from the worries the bind them. It starts in our own homes. Men serve you wife and Women serve your husband. By teaching others we in return learn more. And when we learn more we have more to teach. God needs a wealthy people to go out and teach. Without wealth how can we go everywhere to teach. It is so much harder to influence more people to break free with out wealth. If you don't have it start by clearing out your mind so you can receive inspiration. So get out of your head and choose today to live in the present where joy can only be experienced. Joy is not something that can be experienced unless we are present to experience it.

I learned some really great stuff on how to get out of that place and into the here and now by attending a class recently. It is called Master of Influence, 3 days of training and an incredible teacher at the helm of the class. So much info that it was hard to take it all in so I attended it more than once. There are great resources out there that help people to learn how to break free. For example 7 Habits of Highly Effective People had to be inspired by God, that kind of training does not come out of nowhere. The Six Advisers inspired, The Mind of Steal inspired, The Greatest Salesmen inspired and Master of Influence inspired. These training's are from people that have went through so much pondering, focusing and seeking to receive inspiration. By their fruits you shall know them.

Breaking free does not only mean money issues it also means relationship issues and so much more. Learn from the good books is what the Bible says. there are so many bad books and teachings out there. Tap into the network of inspiration and also create some of your own. I loved what I learned so much at the Master of Influence that I joined the team I am now spreading the word. I can not stay quiet because I made a promise to share. Freedom starts from within and if I want things to change I must change and if I want things to get better I must get better (learned from Master of Influence). I have made huge changes from within myself by finding inspiration in many different places.

I went to a training last night with Amy Walker with 3 Key Elements. What a cool training, it opened up my eyes to some new things! This picture above is from the notes that I took. This is the cycle that everyone goes through. We first have a thought that may be positive or negative. Then we feel an emotion from that thought. Then we take action because of the emotion we feel. Last but not least we get a result that leads to a thought and the cycle starts all over again.

Is there away to stop the cycle while it is in progress? Try this out for size! I look at my bank account and I notice that it is really low. Right at that point after I freak out, I need to take a time out and think of a better thought. For example say to myself out loud I know my bank account is low and I always have enough and more. The brain will make comments telling you that this statement is not true but we are thought evolved beings that can fire our old negative thoughts and hire new ones. When you hear a negative thought yell at it and say "you are fired"! And hire new thoughts to take place of those old evil self deprecating thoughts.

I hope this helps you the way it helps me.

What is keeping me from moving to the next level? Do I have enough faith to press forward? I heard that a mustard seed is very small and it can grow into something really large. Og Mandino wrote, " I am like a grain of wheat which faces one of three futures. The wheat can be placed in a sack and dumped in a stall stall until it is fed to swine. Or it can be ground to flower and made into bread. Or it can be placed in the earth and allowed to grow until its golden head divides and produces a thousand grains from the one.

God created me from the dust of the earth and he gave me the breath of life. I am of the earth and I am governed by the same principles and laws as every living thing on the earth. Studying the earth can helps me see what direction I need to go. If I align myself with the governing principles and laws then I will grow. A seed lives the higher law and follows exactly what it was designed to do. Now I need to do exactly what I was designed to do.

I recently learned why there is so much depression in this world right now. It is a simple equation.

Inspiration + No expression = Depression

I receive inspiration everyday and I usually don't act upon it. I would say that inspiration is the spirit pressing on me to act. If I do not act it places weight on my soul and it causes a depression or and indentation. The earth is govern by the same law. When someone presses their bare foot on the sand it leaves an indentation or a depression in the sand. How does the earth take care of the foot print? The earth uses the waves to wash it away. Acting on inspiration removes the Depression that is placed on my soul.

So have faith to travel farther than your soul can see by acting on the inspiration that is given. We never know what the outcome will be when we are inspired to visit that neighbor or take a left turn instead of a right. If you feel you need to compliment someone do it. If you feel you need to tell someone they look great, tell them. If you feel you need to bring cookies to the neighbor, fire of the stove right then. Like Og Mandino wrote I WILL ACT NOW!

Enjoy
Am I a man of integrity? Am I a man willing to stand up for what is right even when it means I must stand alone? Just checking in with myself to make sure I am on the right track. This life is filled with decisions that seem hard at times but this much I do know, We are not alone.

My higher power is seeking good men to stand up and be counted. In this world where the father is depicted and the foolish oaf in every other movie it makes me realize that men are under attack. We are not weak minded and foolish we are strong and intelligent. I choose to be a warrior that will fight against evil all the days of my life and stand as a light for all to see. Choose ye this day where you will stand. Choose ye this day to break the chains that have bound your family for generations.

I will become what I have always dreamed to become. And as Og Mandino taught, Today I begin a new life, today I shed my old skin which hath to long suffered to bruises of failure and the wounds of mediocrity. I will pluck the grapes of wisdom from the tallest and fullest vines and swallow them so they will swell up inside me and make me become better then I am. And I will also press forward as the bull that charges in spite of the sting of the blade.

I believe that the day is here where there can not be any more fence sitters. Like Mr. Miyagi said in the karate kid " either karate do yes or karate do no, but if karate do sometimes squish just like grape. Please don't get squished like a grape, stand and be counted.
Imagine for a minute being out to sea with only water all around in a storm. All that can be seen is large waves crashing and thrashing. The first thing that I would want to do is get out of the storm and try to find calm water with some sunshine and comfort. This seems like the right thing to do to a person that does not know how to sail. But to an experience sailor it could be a death sentence. Facing the winds and the waves is the best option during a storm. Turning the ship right into the waves, facing the wind and fighting through the storm is always the best option. Turning away from the waves and wind is like turning your back and running from the monster that will most likely eat you.

Did you know that a person can be benefited very much by a small derision in the time of adversity by keeping them self work ways against the winds of doubt and the waves of fear? Imagine for a minute being out in the world and all you can see is doubt and fear all around you. All that can be seen is people getting laid off, foreclosures on houses and sadness to spare. If that happened to me the first things I would want to do is cover my head with my blanket and pretend it is not happening. This seams like the right thing to do to a person that does not know how to go through life and live to tell the tail. But to an experienced adversity survivor it is a death sentence. Not death of the body but death of the spirit and mind. Facing adversity is the best option and hiding under the blanket or in my mind will get me eaten every time, if not in this life the life to come.

The statement " The life to come" reminds me of the parable of the three talents when the Lord of the vineyard said to the servant that did nothing with the talents " thou slothful servant" and cast him out of the vineyard. Adversity can be paralyzing believe me I know because when I got laid off from my job I made $235.00 dollars my first month of being self employed. How can you feed a family of six on $235.00 a month? Boy did I want to run away and hide under the covers or find a secure job. Was there fear and doubt? You better believe it. But the fear and doubt were not real, they are just figment of my imagination or just feelings and emotions. I now have learned that facing fear and doubt is what I want to do all the days of my life or what a Prophet once said "deep water is what I want to swim in". Deep water with multiple levels of learning ready for the taking. Waiting for the one that is willing to push past the shaking experienced right before the speed of sound is broken. On the other side where things can be seen more clearly and the storms are more technical.

A Friend of mine once told me no problems just solutions. I hope this blog will help someone and if it is common knowledge please send it around so it can help someone. I know God will deliver me if I face him without doubt and fear. The storms in life are the very thing that draw us closer to him.
When one drags their feet across the carpet does their body take on a charge? Then when one comes in contact with the opposite charge does that energy get transferred? Is this transfer a balancing act?
Maybe I am going out on a limb here but when a person's positive energy gets to low do they naturally seek a transfer to balance out? Is this why so many are seeking a pick up by using energy drinks, drugs and all kinds of stimulants that are ready for our use at every street corner?
All these things work but they are not a long lived sources of energy. I found a stimulant that has ignited my energy levels. The stimulant I speak of is service. I have found that when I forget about myself and serve others my energy levels increases. I find more passion and more energy in service then any other stimulant I have ever partaken of. And believe me I have tried a lot of them. My energy level increases when I am teaching others. Is this a transfer of energy? When my charge gets high (new things learned) I have the desire to teach what I have learned (transfer of energy by teaching).
The more I think of this kind of stuff the more I realize that I as a person am governed under the same laws and principles as the elements of the earth. It really makes sense to me after I read Genesis 2:7 I was created from the dust of the ground. So that means I am under the same governing principles as the very ground I stand on. So do I have to adhere to the same laws the earth does when it comes to energy? What happens when I do not transfer the energy I receive and hog it for my self? I become depressed . Oh don't worry William we have a drug to take care of that also. Learn and share or receive and give. Is that what will snap me out of this sleep that so easily besets me?
Have you ever felt that you can't seem to break free from emotions or fears or even a way of life that you despise? Most times we cannot break free unless we find what is keeping us from moving forward. I have found that most times it is doubt and fear that keep people from moving forward. James Allen wrote "The will to do springs from the knowledge that we can do. Doubt and fear are the great enemies of knowledge, and he who encourages them, who does not slay them, thwarts himself at every step.

This short sentence has changed my life. Do not for even one second allow the doubt and fear to creep in. I truly believe the atonement cannot have full effect in my life if I have doubt and fear. My higher power is waiting to open up doors if I just have unwavering faith. I have found that the following is true.

1. God wants to bless me with abundance because with out it how can I serve the masses without abundance? Can one give from an empty cup?

2. I was created in the image of God and I am considered his child. Does a child want to be like his father? I truly am a creator and all I need to do is find what I want ask my higher power for direction and go in faith.

3. Love is the shield that will protect me from the arrows of hate and the spears of anger that will be thrown at me while I am in the world creating something great. Love can melt all heart like the suns who rays soften the coldest clay.( Og Mandino).

4. Insane Bravery. What can fight against That? Nothing?

This is my purpose. To bring to light the hidden things of darkness. There is darkness all around us and I will expose it for what it is. It is the wall that has been stopping so many from becoming what they have dreamed to become. And for me the darkness is doubt and fear. God is not Doubt and he is not fear. So Doubt Not Fear Not.
What a perfect way to end the night.

Imagine for a minute that you have a big block of clay in your hands. This is the clay you have been given from God when you came to this earth. A lot of time I find myself looking at others clay and wanting to have theirs instead of mine. Have you ever looked at someone that is successful and thought to your self, wow I wish I had their money a family like theirs and the recognition they have? I have done this more than I feel comfortable to admit.

Some of us are losing site of what we have been given because our focus is not on the clay we are holding in our hands. Its no wonder we are not receiving more from our Higher Power. I know there is times in my life where I have wondered why can't I just have a little bit of a break for this boring mundane life I have been living. Dave said that we need to find joy in the journey. This life will have joy and its inseparable partner sorrow. The tough thing to handle is the joy during the sorrow part. It is always easy to look back on the sorrow and be grateful for what it has taught you.

How do I find joy in the journey when I am going through the rocky shores of life? How can I find joy when I am up to my neck in the muck? Have you ever had so much despair you can't even focus on the small things around you let alone finding joy in the journey?

First things first. What is causing the despair? I truly know that God does not give out despair. So lets think about who is the giver of despair. The giver of despair operates in a low energy field. So If I where to raise my energy level would that disconnect him from my mind? Yes it will. Here are a few things that can help one raise their energy level.

1. Stop Drinking sodas. The sugar will make you crash

2. Stop eating Fast Food? Processed foods are poison. ( the proof of that is FAT AMERICA)

3. Start eating fresh food as much as possible and drink plenty of water. I truly believe that most disease is preventable. Life style is the cause for the majority of health problems.

4 Exercise. Scream at a tree, walk, ride a bike, roller blade, hike, run, lift weights just move your body. When you come home from a hard day, overcome the desire to plop down on the couch and watch the TV. Take the kids out side and find joy in the journey.

5. Everything positive comes form God. And everything negative comes from the opposing force. So with that being said, kick out the negative thoughts from your mind it does not belong. Would you put pornography into you mind? No! And you should not let negative thoughts in either. When a negative thought comes kick it out by saying that is not from God not going there today. Use High energy to remove it.

The Clay we have been given is so much easier to manipulate when we clear our minds and live in the present. If you are having trouble being present focus vividly on everything around you and it will pull you out of your mind. Look at the of the sky and wonder why it is so blue. Focus on the lines in the road look and the numbers on a licence plate driving by. Also look at the people around you and focus on them and how you can help them and then you will be pulled into the here and now. Nothing can be accomplished unless you are present.

About two days ago my wife helped me realize that I am always in work mode and I am never really home. It made me realize that I have been missing some really important opportunities to connect with my family. Tonight I went to my daughters music recital at her school and I realized that I have a very talented girl living under the same roof as I do. Crazy where did she come from? Did I miss something while I was stuck at work 24 hours a day?
I was not at work tonight I was at the recital ( Truly at the recital). I had so much fun and I got to see who she really is. She was the most beautiful talented girl I have ever seen and I could not help but smile bigger then I have ever smiled in my whole life. I felt so connected to her and my love for her increased 100 times.

Do you ever get so caught up in providing for your family that you miss all the good stuff? Do you ever come home so tired that you just don't want to participate in the family day to day stuff? If you don't think there is any good stuff going on, stop for a few minutes and watch closely. You will be surprised what you see. I have got so caught up in the thick of thin things that I have missed the small stuff that passes by in the blink of an eye. Now I don't want to blink because I am afraid to miss something.

So how do I break free form this cycle that so easily over takes me? Like Steven Covey said do the first things first.
1. Recognizing that this is a problem is the first step to breaking free. Kirk Duncan calls it the Wall.
2. Now that I know this is a problem I need to be checking in with myself every-once in a while. James Allen wrote: Man is made or unmade by himself; in the armory of thought he forges the weapons by which he destroys himself. He also fashions the tools with which he builds for himself heavenly mansions of joy and strength and peace.
So if this is true then I can build the relationship with my family that I have always wanted or I can really destroy my family with weapons I forge.

What kind of weapons do I Forge that will destroy my family?
Weapon 1: Do I really listen to my wife or children or am I always thinking about work?
Weapon 2: When I see the negative in a family member do I point it out?
Weapon 3: Do I see a messy room or undone chores as bothersome?
Weapon 4: Am I so caught up in needing to be right that I will make someone feel small to show that I am right?

What tools can I fashion to shield my family from these weapons?
Tool 1: Steven Covey wrote that we need to seek first to understand and then be understood. He also said that understanding to the soul is what air is to the body. Are you really truly listening?

Tool 2: Og Mandino wrote that are love can soften the hardest hearts like the sun who's ray soften the coldest clay. Point out what you love about your family members as much as you can everyday and they will become what you see.

Tool 3: Again Steven Covey said 1+1= more then two. Synergy Find the messy room as an opportunity to be with your child and work together towards a common goal. Then they will trust that when they get stuck or behind they and rely on you to help then find the way.

Tool 4: David Blanchard one of my super hero's "said just let it go, do not tare someone down in the name of being right JUST LET IT GO". It is OK for someone to have a different truth then we do. Truth is perception and perception is King of all. Just love people for who they really are children of God.

I am a work in progress and these are some of the things that I have learned while I have been on this earth. And I have learned them because I have been willing to look inside myself and be OK with the flaws that I have found. These flaws give me something to work on with my Higher Power. He knows the answers so I want him to be my 1+1= more then 2 (Synergy to the 10th power).
Have you ever felt that it is impossible to do so?

Well I learned something really cool today that just might help you. Kirk Duncan for 3 Key Elements said we need to take the negative statements we hear and write them down. Then take them and write the opposite of them. For example, have you ever told yourself that you are you are stupid? Write on a piece of paper that you are smart. Then use these opposites to right your positive declarations for your family and your self.

Tonight as a family we put together the Henderson Family Declaration statement. We declared to the opposition that we think only good things about each other and where we stand. Just as the this nation declared where it stands through its Declaration of Independence. We the people of the Henderson Family declare who we are and where we stand.

Do you have a Declaration statement for you self and your family? If you don't, get one, if you have problems putting one together call me and I can teach your family how to put one together for a small fee.

How often do you let others change your schedule? This has been the battle for me for as long as I can remember. I have found that the reason it has been a struggle is because I am resistant to structure. When you were a kid did you always get into trouble? Did it drive you crazy when someone told you what to do? If you answered yes to these questions then you are most likely resistant to structure.

Isn't it crazy that I am resistant to the very thing that will make me successful? The thing that is even crazier is that I get angry because everything seems to be such a struggle. You could say I gave myself a self inflicted gun shot wound on this one. Hard pill to swallow when I look at it this way. You mean I struggle because of choices I make? Struggle will come no matter what. And some times it will come for no reason. So why add more than you need ? Find a way to get out of the fly by the seat of your pants mode and strap yourself in so you can keep control of the vehicle when the roads get bumpy.

(Jacob 4: 4-7). All true faith must be based upon correct knowledge or it cannot produce the desired results. True faith always moves it's possessor to some kind physical or mental action ; it carries an assurance of the fulfillment of things hoped for. A lack of faith leads one to despair.

So what do I have to do to have more faith? ACTION mental and physical ACTION. I have found that I never have my faith realized until I am in action for a period of time. This is an unchangeable principle and there is no way around it. I love it and I will build my life around it.
A friend of mine told me last week that he tries to learn something from everyone he comes in contact with. He is a very successful business owner that pays about 4 times more in taxes than I make in a year. Is there a connection here?

I have learned that relationships lead to money and money is a relationship. Judging someone has nerve built a very good relationship. There is a cycle that Kirk Duncan taught me last weekend and it is called the give and receive cycle. In order to get more one needs to learn how to receive more. So does this mean I need to swallow my Pride and say thank you to compliments and gracefully except gifts? I used to dismiss compliments by saying well I do my best or it was alright. Receiving a compliment is excepting service from the one that gives the compliment. Let them serve you and it will bless their life. My mother told me one day that I was a blessing thief because I did not except help from others. She said that being served is just as important as serving. For those that follow Christ he said to his apostles that if they did not let him wash their feet they did not have anything to do with him.

Pretty eye opening for me, it makes me want to find people that want to serve me. Might sound selfish but if you are looking for that guess what happens? You will also find people to serve. Tomorrow take the time to recognize the person at the store that is checking you out by telling them how great of a job they are doing and thank them for serving you. Do this everywhere you go and you will be astounded on the transformation in you own heart. Dave Blanchard said always leave people better then you found them and you will become what Og Mandino said A MAN AMONG MEN.

I could not sleep tonight so got up to take some things off my mind and put them on this blog. What is it that causes a tired person to stay awake and think about everything? Could it be stress, could it be worry or is it that there is a message that did not get shared and it is bottled up inside needing to get out? Have you ever held your tongue when you knew you should speak up?
I really think everyone has a message to share with the world but we are to busy to either listen or to scared to share. Is there any experience that I have gone through that can help me help others? I believe there is and the time is at hand to reach out and lift up those around me. And by doing so I will find the one that can pick me up dust me off and put me back on track better then they found me. Has there ever been a time where you think that life is too hard and you just can't go any further? I have Been to that point a few times in my life and it has uniquely prepared me to be a beacon of hope for those coming down the same path.
Wouldn't be nice to have a road map that teaches us how to get through the rough spots in life? There is one and it just so happens that it lies in the experiences of the people that are around us. So does that mean that I need the people that I come in contact with on a daily basis? You better believe it does. There is so much yummy stuff out there that people have to share. But the hard part is figuring out how to mine the experiences from those around us.
First question I need to ask myself is am I teachable and willing to listen? Second question is can I keep from judging others and truly believe that everyone have a valuable message to share? Third Question is can I listen without speaking or changing the subject before the message is delivered? Dave Blanchard said " there is about 60 % of cooperation that people hold back until they feel the are validated". Imagine 60 % more cooperation from those around you just by listening and really understanding.
Funny how that works isn't it. Steven Covey said in relationships fast is slow and slow is fast when it comes to communication. Seeking first to understand is the key to unlocking the door to the vault that holds riches so large there is not enough room for one person to receive it. So does this mean that I need to break out of my shell and start asking the right questions and listening 10 time more then I speak?
But I want to be heard because I have an experience share!!!
Well I have found that my opportunity will come to share my experience and truly have people listen only when I have taken the time to earn the right to share.
I learned that it is really easy judge each others. I caught myself making a judgement about someone today and I was so far off the mark it was not funny. Made me realize that I need to keep on top of my thoughts and not let my perceptions get in the way. It goes back to Steven Covey's 7 Habits #5 says seek first to understand and then be understood. This is also true for the physical aspect of the people you meet or know. Just because it looks a certain way does not always mean that is the way it really is. It is so easy to make a superficial judgement when you think you know how someone is.So I need to seek first to understand.
Makes me wonder if what I see is actually inside of me not the other person. So is it time for me to take out the trash? Am I seeing my own insecurities and short comings in other people? Or is it me projecting those insecurities and shortcoming on to others? Boy that is a tough pill to swallow but it is an absolute unchangeable truth. So That means I need to clean our my negative thoughts and then and only then can I see people for who they truly are. Kirk Duncan taught us about taking out the T.R.A.S.H.
Trash stands for Thoughts, randomly, affecting, spiritual, heights. Looks like I have some spring cleaning to do. And I hope this will help someone realize the same.
Have you ever tried to teach yourself something new? Or have you ever tried to get into a new set of habits? Why is it so easy to start bad habits and so hard to start new ones? Why is it that the human race for the most part so willing to take the easy road instead of the hard one? I there a force that draws us to the things that we naturally desire?

Teaching a dog new tricks is possible if you find what motivates the dog. This same thing is true when it comes to people. If you were offered $100,000 to stop one of your bad habits for a year how easy would it be to roll up your sleeves and start day one? Really easy I would hope. Why is good habits not rewarded instantly? For example if you don't smoke you live longer if you smoke your life is shortened. This is the law that governs all laws in the universe and that is says that for every action there will be a reaction or some may call it a a consequence.

Take eating for an example. If you eat bad things while you are young it seems that it does not effect you very much. But in time things start to catch up to you and you gain weight and you get weaker and before you know it you have gone to pot.

Becoming unhealthy happens one small step at a time and one small choice at a time. Just as becoming healthy one good decision after another will get one to that desired destination. Bad habit comes so slowly that we don't even realize it has us until one day BAM!!!! we are over whelmed because in order to come back we will have have to take all those steps again all the way back to where we began. Someone once said the journey of a thousand miles begins with one step. The end of the journey only comes to those that are willing to take ever step necessary to reach the thousand mile mark. And being in a place you don't want to be took every step necessary to reach the place where you don't want to be. So be careful because the thousand mile marker might be at a destination you would never in a million years choose to travel to.

But if you end up a thousand miles away from where you want to be that is not the end there is hope. Make the decision to get back on track and take the first step and please do not quite. Push through the pain the suffering and the heart ache because the reward is great at the end of the journey.

That seems like a funny question to ask. Of course you can't have a relationship with money. Or can you? Well I was taught something new from Kirk Duncan about money. I tried something that might sound a little weird but it has made a big difference in how money comes into my life.
In the past I always used to say that when ever I get caught up something happens and I get knocked behind. Also used to say I never have enough money and I would even say I guess I just was not meant to have a lot of money. To want money is not a bad thing. I was always told that people that have money are never happy and money does not grow on trees.
Well I need to say this' " Money is made out of paper and cotton and both of those things grow." So I guess money does grow on trees and bushes. Wouldn't that be cool if you could plant a money tree and a few bushes in your yard? We I learned how to do it and I have been astonished on how much money has gone through my account in the month of September.
It all started when Kirk told me that I need to start talking to my money. Sounds weird I know but it works. For example I took a 100 and I looked at the face on the front and said " hi Ben my name is William and I want you to be my friend. I promise you that I will respect you, take care of you and make sure you don't get abused. I really want you to invite your friends over to spend time with me and we will build our network of friends and we will get together often."
Sounds like I have lost my mind does't it? Well After I did this I was driving into the Home Depot parking lot and I saw what look like money on the ground so I stopped to take a look and would you believe it was a 5 dollar bill. Well I did what any other person would do to a friend that was left alone on the ground. I pick Lincoln up and said hi Abe I am sorry that your last friend did not care about you and just left you in the parking to be ran over and left to perish. Abe I can promise you this, I will never let you down if you become my friend in fact Ben is with me and he loves to have company just like I do.
Then I had a break through and I realized that I need to talk about money differently just like Kirk said. So now I tell myself money does grow on trees, money is always in abundance, money is good to have, money loves to be around me and people like to give me money.
No that can't make a difference!!! Well my friends I am here to tell you it does. We need money to survive in this world and how can someone have a greater influence on others if they do not have it? Well how do I get it? First change the way you think about money and then ask God how you can receive more of it and if it is OK to do it. He wants us to have it so we can share it with others by teaching them how to be fishermen instead of just feeding them.
There is a governing principle that is connected with money. And that principle is sure and unchangeable. First you must not be afraid to ask for it and you must act on the ideas that you are given. So in other words faith first and work after. One cannot receive a blessing unless they follow the law that governs the blessing.
If one does not believe this statement then it might be time for some introspection. God can not give you anything unless you are true to what you have been commanded to do to receive that thing. When he speaks he can not go against it he is bound by his own words. That gives me great hope because I will always know where to look for direction because the destination will never change. If the direction did change he would be a God of confusion.
All things are governed by the same principle and law. EVEN MONEY!!! Change your relationship with it, keep track of it, spend it wisely and believe that there is enough out there to come into your life as well. I am not being vain and I am not loving money more than God. Money is a tool and so is a power saw. And the same law governs the power saw as does money. That is, if you don't learn how to use it, it will either cut your fingers off or it will not work properly and the end result will be less than desirable.
This month I have been able to give work to more people than I ever thought possible and the byproduct of that work was money. Many families blessed because someone is getting closer to understanding the principle that governs money and using it to bless the lives of others. I still have many things to learn and dial in when it comes to money and I will do what the old saying says "the journey of a thousand miles begins with one step".

Widtsoe said the following

“The reading habit is most valuable in life. I mean by that the practice of using a little time, say half an hour a day, in the systematic reading of worthwhile literature. The mind is opened to precious fields of thought; the achievements of the ages become ours; even the future takes form. As the mind and spirit are fed by well chosen reading, comfort, peace and understanding come to the soul. Those who have not tried it, have missed a keen and easily accessible joy.

“Moreover a person who engages in such a regular daily reading, if only a few minutes a day, in the course of a few years becomes a learned man. But it must be a regular daily habit. … Some of the best educated men that I have ever met have never been to college but have acquired the habit of daily reading of good books for a few minutes a day.”
We can learn from men that have taken the time necessary to acquire inspiration and share it freely with the masses.
There we drilled methane wells in land fills at 32 inches in diameter and 100 feet deep. Well one day Rayco was short one of the dump truck operators so they put me through a 10 minute crash course on how to drive a 10,000 pound dump truck. Well that was fine, I took on the challenge and in 30 minutes I was on the 5 freeway fully loaded heading for one of the largest land fills I had ever seen. To say the least I was up tight and the trip seemed to take for ever. Well to my surprise I made it to the land fill and back with no bumps and bruises.

So I was sent for a second and third and even a forth trip to the land fill with no hiccups. Well the fifth time came and I was feeling really sure about myself. Down the 5 freeway I went feeling like a tough heavy equipment operator until I started up the long steep hill leading to the top of the land fill. The dump truck seamed to be a little less powerful as I headed up the hill this time and when I reach the half way point the truck just quit dead in its tracks. That might not seam like to much to handle for an experienced operator like my self but I had only five trips under my belt so I was a little shy in the experience department. Well I set the emergency brake and let off the foot break and the truck started to roll back wards. You have got to be kidding me I though to myself why is the emergency break not stopping this truck?

To add insult to injury this old dump dump truck had air assist brakes and when the motor was not running it was extremely difficult to hold that loaded hunk of junk from rolling backwards out of control and to my death. I remember using every ounce of strength I could muster to hold that loaded truck from rolling. After about 10 minutes little beads of sweat began to roll down my face and my legs started to shake uncontrollably. At that time I heard a voice say hows it going? I looked to my left and there was a man staring at me through my open window. I told him I was in trouble and I needed help. He said just let it roll back to the open space about a hundred yards back.

I so wanted this guy to jump into the truck a rescue me from this death defying stunt I was participating in. But he did exactly opposite he said you will be OK just let off the breaks easy and roll it back really slow. Easier said than done I thought to myself because in a dump truck you have to back up by looking into the mirrors only and there was no power steering or breaks. Well I said a prayer and let off the breaks really slow and began my descent. It seemed like it took for ever but finally I made it to the pull out.

I am so glad that man did not just have me move over and take control of my truck. He did not know but he help me step up and take the action necessary to save myself. One might think what does this have to do with the Biscuit of the Day but I would have to tell you it has everything to do with it.
Always remember that when you feel that there is no way out of a scary situation there is someone that is always mindful of what is going on in your life. Ask for help and it will come. It just might not come in the form of a miracle it might come in the form of a person giving you encouragement or a thought of what to do next. That day my character was fired a little in the furnace of adversity and I never thought for a second that It would make me a better person latter on life. I now understand that we are going to face scary things a lot in life but we do not have to give up and let it destroy us.
Seek guidance have faith that the answer will come, then when it does take action. Do as Og Mandino said in the greatest sales man in the world. Charge in spite of the sting of the blade or in other words don't give up because it hurts a little or that it is too scary to face. Grab life by the scruff of the neck, give it a slap and hold on. Giving up is not an option any more for this man. I choose to ride the roller coaster of uncertainty.
